Prologis, the global leader in logistics real estate today announced the results of its “Dock Doors of Giving” campaign in aid of European charities, an initiative that demonstrates its commitment to local communities and charitable causes. The month-long “Dock Doors of Giving” initiative was launched by Prologis in partnership with its supply chain and involved 12 offices across Europe. More than €275,000 was raised - comfortably exceeding the original target of €200,000. These funds have been distributed to 91 organisations, providing a much-needed boost to the charities and communities hardest hit by Covid-19.
The donations announced today, on the occasion of World Cancer Day - which ranged from cash to food, toys and other items, including hand sanitiser and essential PPE - have been given to food banks and community groups struggling to cope with increased demand.
“The Dock Doors of Giving campaign is about more than simply donating - it’s about lasting support and commitment to the communities that we are part of,” explains Sandro Innocenti, Senior Vice President, Country Manager, Prologis Italia. “Social responsibility runs deep in our culture - from company-wide days of community service, to providing volunteering days for employees, we always strive to be a force for good in our local communities. This campaign uniquely helps us come together and show how we can make a real difference for charities and community groups as COVID-19 continues to put pressure on all areas of life.”
Among the organisations receiving donations were Parco Canile Rifugio di Milano and Abio Brianza (ITA), to name a few. All the charitable causes selected were personal to our employees involved with the campaign.
