Friday, May 17 marked the seventh Prologis IMPACT Day, a day of service launched in 2013 for employees around the globe. IMPACT - from Integrity, Mentorship, Passion, Accountability, Courage and Teamwork - embodies the values that drive colleagues as they spend the day helping others.

At IMPACT Day 2018, employees across the world participated in charitable activities. In Denver, for instance, as part of the "Wish for Wheels" program, they donated bicycles and helmets to children, while in Tokyo they painted an orphanage and in Shanghai they taught road safety to children.

This year, the Prologis Italy team returned to the WWF Oasis Bosco di Vanzago wildlife rescue center (CRAS) near Milan. The rescue center houses, treats and rehabilitates injured wildlife before reintroducing it back  into the wild.

Giving a total of 90 volunteering hours, we were able to help the CRAS build a new aviary to hold injured bats until they are well enough to be released back into the wild. Armed with paint and brushes, Italy team members Sandro, Martina, Marco, Margarita, Maria Teresa, Ivan, Claudia, Fabio, Davide and Giacomo began by painting the wooden boards that will be used to build the aviary. They then worked on restoring the surrounding green areas.
