SAN FRANCISCO (January 22, 2019) – Prologis, Inc. (NYSE: PLD), the global leader in logistics real estate, was ranked the top U.S. company and sixth overall among the 2019 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World. The announcement was made at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

This marks the tenth time that Prologis, the only real estate investment trust on this year’s list, has been included in the prestigious ranking.

The Global 100 is administered by Toronto-based Corporate Knights, a specialized media company and investment research firm that ranks publicly traded global companies on a broad scope of metrics related to environmental stewardship, social responsibility and governance (ESG). The Global 100 is widely considered to be the world’s most authoritative sustainability assessment.

“This top-ten ranking and recognition is a testament to our long-standing commitment to ESG,” said Prologis chief legal officer Ed Nekritz. “Our global ESG initiatives deliver significant value to our customers, shareholders and the communities in which we serve.”

Global 100 companies represent the top 1.3 percent in the world on sustainability performance. To determine the ranking, Corporate Knights analyzed 7,536 companies against global industry peers on a suite of up to 21 quantitative key performance indicators (including greenhouse gas emissions, clean revenue, leadership diversity and earnings) weighted to reflect each industry’s impact profile.
