With the symbolic planting of the "first tree" scheduled for Saturday 14 May, Riccardo Travaglini, Mayor of Castelnuovo di Porto (Rome), Sandro Innocenti, Senior Vice President and Country Manager of Prologis Italia, and Antonio Spinedi, CEO, Engineering 2K will celebrate, together with local residents, the start of the renovation works of the Roman-era tuff quarry that has been completely abandoned for over twenty years. An initiative that the residents of this characteristic village have long been waiting for and that now, having received approval from the Superintendency of Fine Arts for the project presented by Prologis, finally comes to fruition with the construction of the new logistics hub.
Local residents are invited to take part in the event on Saturday 14 May at 11.00 a.m. (Via Madonna dei Due Ponte, Provincial Road 51 b at km 5.5), where there will be inflatable bouncy castles for children, street performers, and lots of music. At 11.30 am, the planting of the first tree, a symbol of the area's rebirth, followed by institutional greetings and presentation of the project to the public. At 1.00 p.m. the food stands will be opened and the 80s tribute band “8zero” will perform.
